How to care for your espadrilles

To keep your espadrilles in perfect condition, follow the instructions below according to the outer material:

For suede espadrilles:

  • Brush with a soft brush. If stained, apply a specific suede cleaner.

For leather espadrilles:

  • Wipe with a slightly damp cloth to remove surface dirt. A leather cream can be applied to nourish the leather.

For cotton fabric espadrilles:

  • Clean localised stains with a damp cloth and mild soap.

For all espadrilles:

  • Brush the sole with a soft brush to remove dust residue
  • Clean the inner lining with a damp cloth
  • If the jute sole gets wet, remove excess moisture with a towel and leave to air dry, away from heat sources and direct sunlight
  • Do not machine wash
  • Do not submerge in water
  • During long periods of storage, we recommend keeping them with shoe trees or tissue paper inside.
  • When not in use, store your espadrilles in a dry place to protect both the natural jute and the metal finishes.

Caring for Zamak details:

Some styles feature Zamak terminals — a noble, hypoallergenic, high-resistance alloy we have chosen for its durability and skin-friendliness. Over time and with wear, it is natural for these embellishments to develop a more matte patina or lose some of their original shine due to exposure to ambient humidity or friction.

To keep them looking their best, we recommend:

  • Gentle cleaning: Periodically rub the embellishments with a dry cotton cloth to remove any dust or moisture residue.
  • Restoring shine: If you would like them to shine like new, you can use a small amount of gentle metal polish, taking care not to stain the ribbons or fabric.
