SOMETIMES, YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS IN LIFE

And that´s how this project was born. It´s just that simple and just that complicated.
My name is Laura and I currently live in Barcelona, a vibrant and inspiring city.
After working for years for other fashion companies, I decided to start my own sewing studio, to give shape to my ideas as they were born in my mind.
I like to make garments with a minimalist style, with timeless designs and good quality, which can be used throughout several seasons.
I don't believe in fast fashion.
I want my clothes to help women feel more elegant, to add style and personality. It makes me very happy to see my creations on other people, taking on a life of their own.
Also, in my mother's family, from La Rioja, several generations of women have dedicated to making handmade espadrilles.
I am proud to carry on his legacy.
I want share my garments with people all over the world, connect with distant people in distant places who, despite the distance, share and understand my designs.
The creation process is, without a doubt, the most exciting, hard and wonderful part of this work.
My inspiration is in geometry, architecture, art…it really is everywhere. It comes through music, on a walk, reading a book…..it just comes and I feel the need to create.
I make a pattern over and over until it responds faithfully to my ideas.
I search the right fabric, cut it and sew it with as traditional a process as possible, I check it and modify it until I feel it's perfect, and at that moment I know that the creation process has ended, like a circle that closes and is completed.
That way that is followed until the circle is closed is what makes this job so special and rewarding.
From there, each design begins its own story, in a different woman and with a life of her own.
That's why it's so exciting to see that my clothes are part of other people's lives and memories.
